Stay safe out there everyone! Remember, do not leave your instruments out in this cold even for a little while.
Cold weather can be dangerous for your instruments. Here are some tips from our repair tech Aaron to make sure your instruments gets through this season un-"weathered"
1. Do not ever leave your instruments in the car. Your car has the most drastic weather changes and is the most likely place to break your instruments.
2. If you just transport your instruments in this weather, make the temperature change as gradually as possible. Warm up the car first, and use an insulated case.
3. If your instruments has already had static temperature changes already, bring it back to room temp as gradually as possible. Leave it in the case and never use a heater on your instrument.
Wooden instruments are especially at risk and we want to make sure to avoid damage as much as possible. If you think you're instrument might be damaged or in need of a look over, bring it by when we are open. If you have any questions feel free to message us here.
